Area III represents the American Baptist Churches of The South in the states of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. There are 62 active ABC churches in the area that are part of ABCOTS.
Area III is home to the inaugural organizational meeting that was held from April 10 through 12, 1970 in the Myers Park Baptist Church, Charlotte, North Carolina.
